DIRECTIONS FOR BROCKRAM & KELD BARNS
Please follow the Google Maps link. Please be aware if you are using a sat nav, the post code CA17 4PQ will bring you to the hamlet of Little Musgrave only. Once in Little Musgrave. If you are coming from the north, it also may try to take you down Bermer Scar which is a disused track near Warcop no longer passable. If it looks like you are being asked to go down a grass track, turn back to Warcop and head towards Kirkby Stephen and Little Musgrave, your satnav will then reroute you.
Once in Little Musgrave, look for a concrete road on your right opposite a bungalow. (assuming you have come in from the Great Musgrave to Kirkby Stephen B6259 road). Turn right down the concrete road over a cattle grid and follow this for 0.5 miles over two further cattle grids until you see Low Ploughlands at the bottom of the hill. Drive up and over the bund and you will find Brockram and Keld barns.
DIRECTIONS FOR ROSE COTTAGE
Please follow the Google Maps Link. The address is Rose Cottage, Bleatarn, Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria CA16 6PX. Please be aware that the post code is shared by all the houses in the hamlet and so some sat navs will take you to the edge of Bleatarn. Rose Cottage is set on its own next to the woods.
From the Soulby direction:
Once you have left Soulby after about 2 miles turn Right at the cross roads at the top of a hill signed Warcop and Bleatarn.
Take the next Left signed Warcop/ Bleatarn, this takes you down past some woods.
Rose Cottage is on your Left as you come out of the woods and is the only cottage along this road. If you get to Abbey Park Farm and Orchard Farm you have gone too far.
From Warcop:
In Warcop go Left and then immediately Right over 2 little bridges past the playground following signs to Bleatarn.
Follow this road over the small river bridge for 2 miles until you reach the hamlet of Bleatarn.
When you see the sign Bleatarn turn immediately Left (Take the turning at a wide angle as the turning is steep and a low car can scrape the bottom!) If you pass Orchard Farm or Carpool Farm you have gone too far.
